Killer deal on do-it-yourself computer parts

So this week I assembled my mostly new computer, comprised of an Intel i7 based computer with 12GB of RAM. There are some killer deals if you know where to look. The 920 processors overclock like nothing else, so you can easily pump it up to 3.6Ghz or better with air cooling.

1. Go to bing.com and search for 'GPS' and refresh the screen until you see the Bing Cashback offer for TigerDirect of 12.1%. If you don't know what Bing Cashback is, click here. Be sure to use the GPS search, otherwise you will just get 5% back.

2. Click on the link and start stocking up on the goodies:

-- 120GB OCZ Vertex SSD (P/N O261-6124) $319.99

-- Asus P6T Motherboard $249

-- Intel i7 920 CPU $279.99

-- Pickup any other items you need (power supply, video, HD, CPU cooler, etc.)

3. Choose eBillMe as the checkout option (No this isn't signing up for a credit card).

4. Request your $25 TigerDirect EbillMe rebate here.

5. Check your Bing cashback account 24-48 hours after your EBillMe payment goes through.

Shipping is just $1.99 right now as well, for orders under 20 pounds. I actually got the Asus P6T Deluxe V2 MB, but they are now out of stock.

If you want some cheap DDR3 memory, you can get 12GB from Amazon for $151.50. ZipZoomFly has 20% cashback through Bing for a limited time. I did a search on bing for 'intel i7 920' and got the link for 20% off. If you don't live in CA, ZipZoomFly is a better deal than TigerDirect.

  1. That is a nice computer parts setup that you made. You also did very well with the prices and deals that your discovered.

However, I wouldn't skimp so much on the computer RAM. It is extremely cheap right now and the amount of performance you get from Quality RAM memory is amazing.
